Exploring Innovation in Regenerative Viticulture at JoJo’s Vineyard

Director, Andrew Baker, will be heading to JoJo’s Vineyard in Henley-on-Thames on 23 October for the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation’s UK Open Day #3.

The event promises to be an exciting deep dive into the future of vineyard innovation, showcasing how technology and regenerative principles can work hand-in-hand to transform vineyard management.

Hosted by Ian Beecher-Jones, whose reputation for innovation precedes him, the day will take place at JoJo’s Vineyard in Russell’s Water, also known as the “digital vineyard” for its pioneering use of data, robotics and precision agriculture technologies. Ian and his team have been testing and trialling a range of digital tools, drones, robots, and sampling and analysis techniques designed to enhance both efficiency and sustainability in viticulture.

We’re particularly proud to have worked closely with JoJo’s Vineyard over the last few years as one of the early adopters of our Soil Acoustic Meter (SAM). Their openness to testing emerging technologies has provided valuable insights into how acoustic data can inform soil health management and guide regenerative practices in real-world settings.

The event will also bring together representatives from across the agri-tech space to discuss the capabilities of various systems and tools, alongside sessions exploring funding grants for innovation, vineyard mapping, and how to design and conduct on-site trials.

For Soil Acoustics, it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with growers, researchers, and technologists who share our passion for using science and sound to drive sustainability. We’re looking forward to continuing our collaboration with JoJo’s and others who are leading the way in regenerative viticulture.

If you’re planning to attend, you can find out more about the event and how to book your spot here.

We look forward to meeting others who share our passion for science, soil and sustainability, and to exploring how sound can play a role in the vineyards of the future.
