Soil Acoustics to Exhibit at UKRI’s AgriFood Innovation Showcase 2026

We are looking forward to attending the AgriFood Innovation Showcase 2026 at thestudio in Birmingham, hosted by Innovate UK on 26 March. This year’s event focuses on Regenerative Agriculture and Agri-Tech for a Sustainable Food Future System, a theme that closely aligns with our mission at Soil Acoustics.

As the pressure mounts to produce more food with fewer inputs, while protecting soil health and biodiversity, regenerative agriculture is no longer a niche conversation — it’s central to the future of farming. The showcase will explore how regenerative practices, combined with pioneering agri-tech innovation, can enhance agricultural productivity while supporting more resilient, sustainable and healthy food and drink manufacturing. The conversation spans both domestic and global supply chains, recognising that soil health is foundational to long-term food security.

The Soil Acoustics team will be exhibiting within the SME marketplace, where we’ll be demonstrating our agri-tech innovation: the Soil Acoustic Meter (SAM). In a sector increasingly focused on measurable outcomes, from carbon sequestration to biodiversity uplift, having accessible, real-time soil data is critical. We’re looking forward to speaking with attendees about how acoustic soil monitoring can complement existing soil testing approaches and help track the impact of regenerative interventions over time.

We’re particularly interested in listening in on the presentation sessions covering:

  • Regenerative agriculture and agri-tech innovation in action
  • Large company R&D challenges and innovations
  • Funding and incentive schemes

Each of these themes is highly relevant to our work. As an agri-tech SME operating at the intersection of research, commercial farming and environmental stewardship, understanding the R&D priorities of larger organisations and the evolving funding landscape is essential. Collaboration between innovators, corporates and policymakers will be key to accelerating meaningful change across the sector.

The AgriFood Innovation Showcase provides a valuable opportunity to connect with growers, farmers, retailers, foodservice operators, academics, NGOs and other innovators active within the food and drink supply chain. These are all stakeholders we work with directly, and who are increasingly looking for robust, data-driven tools like the SAM to support regenerative practices and sustainability reporting.

If you’re attending on 26 March, drop us a line to arrange a meeting or come and find us in the SME marketplace — we’d love to talk all things soil with you.

If you’ve not signed up to come along yet, you can do so on the Innovate UK website here. We look forward to seeing you there!
